Dr. Coontz is acutely aware of the affect of sleep apnea on heart health. He suffered a heart attack that was most likely associated with his sleep apnea. He is on a mission to assist patients with their sleep-disordered breathing and perhaps prevent associated heart attacks. Dr. Coontz works closely with the patient’s physician in successfully treating a patient’s sleep apnea. “I know how successful oral appliance therapy can be in the management of sleep apnea, since I have been a patient. I want to be able to share my successes with patients.”
Dr. Coontz enjoys traveling with his family to exotic lands and embracing all that different cultures offer. Photography and reading are his favorite past-time activities.
