I am extremely passionate about treating patients with sleep apnea and other sleep complications. Although I recognize that I cannot change the world, I know I can make a world of difference in the people I treat. – Dr. Rod Willey
A Growing Need
According to numerous articles and studies, there are millions of Americans who experience from some kind of sleep disorder, including insomnia, snoring, and sleep apnea – many of whom go undiagnosed and suffer unnecessarily. What’s even more dramatic is that these numbers are expected to increase, due in large part to the obesity epidemic in this country which affects every population group from the aging Baby Boomers to young children. Sleep disorders are more than just a nuisance that affects both job performance and personal relationships. When you consider that studies have shown that men in particular who are affected by severe sleep apnea have an almost 60% increased risk of developing heart failure, it is clear that sleep disorders have become a life-threatening health crisis.
Continuing to Grow
With such a growing need for the services that the Koala® Center For Sleep & TMJ Disorders provide, it is our goal to continue to grow exponentially to provide patients with convenient locations and quality care throughout the US.
