Protocols to Be Followed at Koala Sleep Centers During COVID-19
At Koala Sleep Center we make sure we take all the precautionary measures to stay safe during this pandemic.
In abnormal times such as these, it is vital to stay vigilant to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 so that we, as a society, can get back to normal as soon as possible only when it is safe enough to do so. At Koala Center for Sleep and TMJ Disorders, we take the current pandemic seriously. As such, we want to do our part to ensure that we keep everyone who enters our doors as safe as possible. Your health and safety, and that of our employees, is our first concern with all of our business.
What precautions is Koala Center for Sleep and TMJ Disorders taking during COVID-19?
At Koala Center for Sleep and TMJ Disorders, we are staying informed on all of the developments surrounding COVID-19 in the United States at large and in the various communities in which our clinics operate. We want to ensure that we are taking all of the necessary precautions to keep our patients and employees safe, and to protect each community we operate in from experiencing an outbreak. To do so, we are limiting our hours of operation in our clinics to reduce traffic in our buildings and to practice social distancing. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but know that we are implementing these protocols in everyone’s best interest!
We are also asking that you refrain from visiting our clinic if you have any symptoms associated with COVID-19. Some of these symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, loss of smell, or other cold symptoms. If you have any such symptoms, give us a call before your appointment, and we will reschedule your appointment if necessary. When you visit a Koala Sleep Center, we recommend that you wear a mask and sanitize your hands before and after your visit. Do not hesitate to give us a call if you have any further questions about the increased protocols we are implementing to keep everyone safe from COVID-19.
Why is it important to practice social distancing during a pandemic?
It is vital to practice social distancing during a pandemic like COVID-19 to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), COVID-19 is highly contagious. For every person who has COVID-19, WHO estimates that they will spread the virus to between two and three people. As such, the virus can quickly double in the number of cases at an exponential rate when proper protocols like social distancing are not followed.
Do I need to practice social distancing even if I don’t feel sick?
Another important reason for practicing social distancing during COVID-19 is the asymptomatic way that the virus sometimes infects people. Though it might seem strange, it is crucial to practice social distancing and proper hygiene even if you appear to be symptom-free and don’t think you have COVID-19. If you are young, healthy and do not feel at risk of experiencing an adverse reaction to COVID-19, you could still spread it to someone more vulnerable, such as the elderly or those with compromised immune systems.
